- Synopsis
- Video component of an integrated teaching pack designed to introduce teachers to the theory and practice of media education. In three parts: 1) three activities which encourage the viewer to analyse short pieces of broadcast material: the opening minutes of the film CELIA, and advert for an Italian pasta manufacturer, and a BBC1 summer promotional trailer; 2) three examples of classroom practice, featuring children aged 7, 12 and 15 involved in media education with their teachers; 3) two compilations for analysis and possible classroom use: one of drama title sequences from different periods and countries and the other extracts from factual programmes dealing with the same event - the Chernobyl nuclear accident.
