Synopsis
Based on a case-history, describes conditioning and aversion techniques in the treatment of chronic alcoholism. The patient, a married man with three children, talks about his background and the effect his drinking has had on his family. Emphasis is placed on the importance of team work in the treatment unit and on the integration of the patient. On discharge, it is indicated that the patient will receive support and follow-up care.
