Imagined Worlds. Part 10: Professor Sir Fred Hoyle

Subtitle
Professor Sir Fred Hoyle
Synopsis
Professor Sir Fred Hoyle describes the insights that led him to challenge the ‘big bang’ theory of the origin of the universe and to attempt to establish his alternative steady state theory of an expanding universe. His ideas have always provoked controversy in the scientific world, particularly in the debate on his findings concerning life forms in space which conflict with Darwin’s theory of evolution.
