Two extracts from a speech by UK Prime Minister, John Major at a business conference at the Europa Hotel in Belfast in which he announces plans for the first major investment in Northern Ireland since the IRA and loyalist ceasefires. An international package worth seventy-five million pounds was unveiled with the PM saying he wanted people to see the benefits of peace as soon as possible. The guests included delegates from America, the Far East and Europe. In the second part, Major announces the creation of hundreds of new jobs.
