Interview with Employment Secretary Michael Portillo, following the publication of the Government’s latest economic figures. Figures for 07/94 put the jobless total at just over 2.63 million - a fall of almost 12,000. Inflation now stands at 2.3 percent - down 0.3 and Portillo says it shows economic recovery is feeding through into more jobs. Male interviewer not identified.
