Description

Interview with environment minister John Redwood on an initiative to regenerate Britain’s run-down inner cities. An urban regeneration agency is being set up to develop 150,000 acres of unused derelict land. The agency, to be headed by former Environment Secretary Lord Peter Walker, will have reserve powers to buy land compulsorily and override local planning constraints.
