In: he has written for the likes of Dick Emery. Peter Tinniswood talks about the book in which he created character of: The Brigadier, and his dislike of Australia. TRACK 2- PETER TINNISWOOD continued. Continues discussion about his book and its emphasis on cricket. Had always planned to be a writer from the age of 6. Became journalist in Sheffield, wrote for TW3 on TV, then wrote a novel: A Touch of Daniel. Since has written stage plays and for TV. Enjoyed writing sketches for TW3. Sees every human activity as comic. TRACK 3- PETER TINNISWOOD continued. Continues talking about cricket. Supports Lancashire, enjoys meeting people at cricket. TRACK 4- LENNY THE LION [TERRY HALL]. Lenny introduces: Wise Buys: Bargains in local stores. Music Discusses pop music, food; working with humans. Playing in pantomine. Terry Hall discusses creation of Lenny the Lion [began in 1954, 30 years ago]. Music Terry Hall discusses how he became a ventriloquist: Discovered by Carroll Lewis. Does not normally work with other ventriloquists. Music Terry Hall has become involved in educational books and games to help children to read. Decided to bring humans into reading - 6 books based on: Bushy the Squirrel. Gives talks to teachers. TV series teaching reading followed. At present in pantomine at Kings Theatre Southsea. [Box 6]
