Synopsis
Independent Local Radio programme. Kenneth Branagh talks to Gill Pyrah on the opening of his film HENRY V, his debut as a film director. He speaks about his role as director, challenges in filming including the Agincourt battle scene, and comparison with Laurence Olivier’s version. Branagh also talks about Churchill advising Olivier on the script and advocating elimination of scenes and lines considered to put the English army in a less than perfect light.
