Synopsis
Seventh in a series of ten educational radio programmes in which various aspects of Shakespeare’s life and work are discussed by scholars and theatre practitioners with illustrative excerpts from his plays and poems. In this episode Anthony Quayle and Michael Hordern perform speeches and scenes from Henry IV, Parts 1 and 2. Alan Badel recites speeches from Henry V. Helen Morris talks about the ways in which Shakespeare dramatised history for the stage.
