Impossible Catherine

Synopsis

Silent feature film. Catherine is the spirited, feminist daughter of a wealthy banker. She meets John Henry at a Yale University dinner and he, having read The Taming of the Shrew, resolves to tame her. He takes her in his aeroplane and holds her captive there until she consents to marry him. After the wedding she runs away to but John captures her and takes her to a remote lumber camp in Canada where he imposes domestic duties on her. Catherine hires a local heavy to beat him, but her beats her instead. John is wounded as he comes to her defence and then she realises her love for him.
