Summary
Flour purchased by the Greek Government from Canada is loaded aboard two Red Cross ships at Haifa to be sent to Athens and there distributed to starving Greeks. [49 ft] US troops arrive in Australia as part of the Pacific build-up. [41 ft] Generals Auchinleck and Ritchie with the Polish C-in-C General Zayac in the Middle East inspect men of a Carpathian Brigade, then the two British generals are decorated by General Zayac with the Virtuti Militarie the highest Polish award. [46 ft]
