Summary
One morning in May a plane lands at a northern aerodrome carrying Mr Molotov who had flown from Russia in the greatest secrecy. At the local station he boards a special train which brings him to a station outside London where he is welcomed by Mr Eden. Mr Maisky who had joined the train earlier is also there. They leave for No 10 where they meet Mr Churchill. At the Foreign Office both sides sign the Treaty of Alliance. After the signing both Mr Eden and Mr Molotov say a few words.
