Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Daladier in Tunisia. DESCRIPTION: The French Prime Minister continues his tour of France’s Mediterranean Territories. SHOTLIST: The French cruiser, "Foch", sails into the harbour at Bizerta with M Daladier aboard. The premier, who was accompanied by General Georges, General Vuillemin and Vice Admiral Darlan, is greeted by Erik Labonne. The party motor to the Bardo Palace where the Bey of Tunis, Sidi Ahmed Pasha decorates M Daladier. Then the party drive by car, accompanied by Spahis mounted on Arabian horses. Later he reviews a march past of native troops. The party go by train to Gabes where a review of Spahis, Senegalese etc is held on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Shots of Spahis advancing only in lavender.
