Summary
Babcock and Wilcox synopsis: Living near the Clyde, quite a number of Babcock folk, from Dumbarton and Renfrew works, are naturally enough, interested in boating.
Painting and fitting-out and launching of the little boats provide an absorbing occupation, but we find time to watch the majestic launch, further up the river, of a new nine-thousand-ton cargo-ship, Waroonga, and her journey to the fitting-out basin where she receives her Babcock marine boilers.
Then, once again with "the little fleet" we set out from the Gareloch on a club cruise, through the beautiful Kyles of Bute, taking in some of the Clyde’s loveliest scenery.
