Summary
Babcock and Wilcox synopsis: One fine June morning, the town of Paisley awoke with the knowledge that it was the centre of the world - the piping world. From all quarters, famous bands of pipers had gathered, and also Scottish and Irish dancers, to compete in World Championship contests - a thrilling pattern of sight and sound and an occasion to gladden the heart of every Scotsman.
The bonnets go up as Pipe Major Jock MacAllister steps out to receive the Cup on behalf of the Shotts and Dykehead Band, and the crowds line the streets to cheer the champions as they parade with trophies gleaming, to bring Paisley’s gala day to a triumphant close.
