Summary
Babcock and Wilcox synopsis: The Works of Edwin Danks & Co. (Oldbury) Ltd., subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox, Ltd. have been greatly modernized and extended in the past few years and early in 1957 the fine new offices of this Company, were officially opened by the Mayor of Oldbury, in the presence of the Directors, Management and distinguished guests. The film after an interesting historical sequence starting with the day, nearly a century ago, when Edwin Danks made iron barges and steam engines, shows the brief opening ceremony and accompanies the official party in a tour of the newly-equipped works.
