- Summary
- COI synopsis: The soil beneath our feet; dirt; earth it’s commonly called. In actual fact it’s a complex microbiological structure that man must nurture and maintain to achieve the food and beauty that can be harvested there. Plants are living, breathing things. They feed off nutrients in the soil, so, to crop well, farmers must know how rich or how poor their soil is. The necessary tests are usually done in laboratories, which is inconvenient and time consuming. But now, an invention by a British scientist allows the lab to be taken to the field: a lab enclosed in an attache case.
