Summary
The March of Time synopsis: The new issue of "The March of Time" contains a forceful episode entitled "Winter Vacations", revolving around the increasing trend of American holidaymakers to spend their annual vacations in winter rather than summer. As transport companies report vastly increased tourist traffic, Florida, America’s paradise of the South, for long the centre of wealth and fashion, offers additional facilities to the middleman, "The March of Time" records the commencement of an epical battle for the winter holidaymakers’ money, with North America, emulating their Southern opponents, in a great campaign publicising a holiday amidst the attraction of snow and ice. Interwoven in this interesting story is the increasing practice for American big business to grant employees both winter and summer vacations, feeding fuel to a fire that glows brightly for general prosperity.
