Summary
The March of Time synopsis: The new issue of "The March of Time" contains a startling chapter entitled "The Battle for Clean Milk" dealing with milk - the most nutritious and yet potentially the most dangerous of all human foods - and the successful efforts of the American Government to safeguard consumers.
"The March of Time" conclusively traces the battle against impure milk from 1892, when a typhoid epidemic added to the toll of 4,000 juvenile deaths annually, culminated in a vast army of public health officials probing every territory where milk was handled or sold. The narrative depicts the introduction of the milk bottle, the even of a great pasteurization campaign and the fostering of specially supervised model dairies.
Pictured also is the amazing contrast between America and many European countries, where distribution methods to-day remain in a state of antiquity.
