Rhodesian Spotlight Commentary - At Mabalreign in Salisbury, Sir Robert Tredgold arrived for a civic ceremony and after being welcomed, inspected a boys’ guard of honour. A methodist gathering heard Sir Robert compare the present day to the days before the Great Revival started by John Wesley, and then witnessed him laying the foudation stone of a new church-building.
That was in August 1956 ... Then the parishioners took charge and although some of the work was put out to contractors, the Foundation, roof, plumbing and electrical installations were carried out by members of the congregation, who of course, attended the first service held in their own church. Congratulations to a community, who once again have proved the old adage that "Unity is Strength". - Keywords
