Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "Ice Hockey - though, unfortunately, our climate prevents it being so popular here as abroad." High angle shot of an ice hockey match in progress. Various shots of the action including a goal being scored. Slow motion footage of a player jumping over another player’s stick to keep up with the puck. "Not only is Ice Hockey fast, but it’s dangerous - ice feels about the hardest thing on earth to hit - " Action seen in real time then again in slow motion. One player is knocked over. "The goal-keeper is generally favoured - (They keep a special ambulance for him.)" C/U of the gloved hand of the goalie. C/U of his knee pads, tilting down to show his shoes. More shots of the game. "It’s a real up and down game" M/S - goalkeeper drops to his knees as players approach and slide towards the goal. Scramble in the goal mouth. Slow motion footage of the same action from behind the goal.
