Summary
NoS Summary - Sunny day on the beach contrasted with ice dancing.
British Pathe synopsis: "For months and months old Jack Frost was a memory, and merry old Sol tempted us into the briny." Panning shot of a busy beach - lots of people in deck chairs looking out to sea. "All too soon we’ll be thinking of snow and ice and warming little things like skating." M/S of group of young people skating arm in arm towards the camera on an icy expanse. L/S couple ice dancing on an outdoor rink. They perform various lifts and turns. "Whirls and girls will bring a glow to those of us who like Negretti and Zambra’s daily "below Zero" reports - " Two women dressed identically perform an ice dancing routine. Various shots of the routine. Another dancer turns on the ice. Her skirt whizzes out and forms a kind of shelf as she spins. "Leaps and bounds will thrill us - " A man in a dark suit jumps and spins on the ice. High angle shot of a skater. " - and slow-motion will show how simple-looking some make skating appear - " High angle slow motion footage of male ice skater.
