Summary

NoS Summary - A pie eating competition - all the competitors are young women.
British Pathe synopsis: "We’ve all heard of lotus-eaters - these are a different kind of masticator" M/S of group of young girls crouched down in the starting position for a race. They run towards a table where they start eating pies with no hands! There are probably about 60 competitors. M/S of the backs of the girls showing their legs and dresses. "Many minds (and mouths) with but a single thought - to eat pie in the shortest time" C/U of a woman chomping on a pie. She puts her face right into the pie - obviously not allowed to use her hands. Camera pans across the table of girls. High angle shot of the competition - there are quite a few cameramen there. "The chief Pie-eater!" M/S of a woman standing in front of a table holding a trophy. Girls standing behind her cheer and wave. Probably in the United States of America.
