- NoS Summary - French lighthouse is a warning to aircraft rather than seacraft.
British Pathe synopsis: "No stormy waves beat upon its base, for this is an air beacon built on top of Mont Afrique, near Dijon, Central France..." L/S of the strange looking lighthouse. A man walks around the side of a platform half way up the lighthouse. "Two thousand feet above sea level, it stands, a guide to night aeroplanes..." Man climbs right up onto the roof. "Eight great multiple lenses and countless prisms are used to concentrate the light into rays..." C/U of lighthouse keeper checking the light. The light turns. "And this flashing light - one thousand million candle power - is visible in clear air up to three hundred miles." L/S of the light as it turns in the darkness. Closer shot of the turning light.
