Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "With some coloured crêpe paper, plus a little ingenuity, any handy girl could make this attractive little carnival costume in an hour or two - " C/U of a desk with crêpe paper, bottle of ink and other bits and pieces upon it. Woman places a circle of cardboard on some crêpe paper then cuts around it. We see all the various stages of making circles out of crêpe paper with strings attached. These are decorations for a dress made entirely of crêpe paper. M/S of the woman posing in her dress. It is a flapper dress and she wears a little headband too. She sits down and poses for the camera. "Styles are unlimited (and none should cost five shillings to make)" M/S of woman walking into the room in an ornate costume made from crêpe paper. There is a hoop attached to her dress which moves as she walks. Various other hand made costumes are modelled. C/U of one of the frocks. One girl has a costume which has little butterflies attached - she has large wings made from crêpe paper attached to the back of the dress. She turns to show the camera her back.
