Summary
NoS Summary - Funny india rubber man dance performed by "Le Danseur Elastique" in Paris
British Pathe synopsis: "Meet a gentleman with no bones to speak of - but a lot of movement." M/S of an india rubber dancer moving his feet at top speed. He does some crazy dancing, making it appear that he is double jointed or made of rubber. He bounces up and down on his knees. We see this in slow motion. He wears a suit, bow tie and boater hat. "Le Danseur Elastique" they call him in gay Paree, and he surely is the outside edge in elastic understandings." More manic dancing ensues including some stuff on tiptoes. He does the splits then pulls himself up by his jacket button. C/U of the drum kit which has a banner on it reading "Canadian Serenaders". The dancer holds himself by the scruff of the neck and shuffles along. He ends the act by spinning his hat and sticking his leg out.
