Summary
NoS Summary - Ice dancing routine filmed in Switzerland
British Pathe synopsis: St Moritz, Switzerland. "On thin ice - and they like it! (Horace Nicholson, Fancy-Skating Champion, and partner.)" Very short shot of the ice dancers. "If it’s leap year..." M/S of the woman skater doing a turn low to the ground - Horace jumps over her. We see this stunt in slow motion. "Another feat - difficult enough on a stage, but more so on ice -" The couple hold hands and spin on the ice. The woman hooks her legs through Horace’s arms so he is holding her upside down. She hooks her feet around his neck and he spins around with his arms in the air. They end their spin with a pose. "The slow-camera shows just how it’s done..." M/S of the two skating towards each other in slow motion. We see how she hooks her legs over, leans back, gets her feet around his neck thus enabling him to let go of her hands and hold his arms up. C/U of the couple at the end.
