Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "Filmed at Stamford Bridge, London" "When it comes to Beauty Parades, the Laundry girls don’t intend to be left in the basket - they’re in the van." M/S of large number of girls parading around the edge of a football field. Girls from different laundries wear different outfits. They all look very sporty. M/S of a smartly dressed woman who may be some kind of judge. The girls continue to parade past. "And when it comes to speed, the girls of the Great White Way, are as fast as any Eve - (on the track, of course!)" Girls get on their marks for a running race. L/S of the race from behind the finishing line, girls run towards the camera. C/U of some of the girls relaxing after one of the races. Other races are seen, other girls seen relaxing. A girl is seen breaking through the winning tape at the end of a race. "The only bit of trouble came when the girls tried Adam’s dressing race - (How can Adam wear such things?)" Girls run towards the camera and start to put on mens trousers and jackets. They then run off.
