Summary
NoS Summary - seven sisters who all enjoy horse riding are shown with their steeds.
British Pathe synopsis: "Filmed at Northolt" "In spite of the all-conquering car, there are still plenty of folk who will not desert man’s friend, the horse. This group of Seven Sisters, for instance." Panning shot of seven young girls on horseback. M/S of a stables. Horses are being led around the yard and saddled up. "Ages 5 to 19, they are keen enthusiasts for friend Dobbin - ("They’ve all ridden from tiny tots" said Mr Croxon, their father.)" Panning shot of the horses and riders. C/U of a very young girl (possibly the 5 year old) tightening a saddle. M/S of the girls saddling up, they all wear berets. The tiny girl is helped onto her mount. The other girls climb into the saddle. "This is healthier than rushing along the country roads, via auto - " The girls ride out of the yard. "And more exciting, too, when "on the jump". Girls ride two to a horse, they take jumps together. "Except when "slowed." Slow motion footage of horses being taken over jumps. "Whoa! Back!" Film is reversed so that riders seem to go backwards and jump back over the jumps. Film is then sped up so that riders seem to be going at great speed. Various footage of the girls riding at speed.
