Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "Filmed at Great Kingshill High Wycombe." Introductory intertitle reads: "Nature’s prize walking comedians - nearest rivals to the penguin -" L/Ss of ducks running along in a field. "It’s a good job they can’t see their future!" Another shot of the ducks running around. C/U of two ducks held in keepers’ arms. "More of the gobblers - festive season variety." Young woman in overalls walks towards the camera followed by lots of turkeys. Various shots of the birds, two women throw out seed. C/U of the turkeys eating. Shots of some white turkeys. "And here’s a new device - the automatic plucker. Does an hour’s work in a minute." Various shots of the automatic plucking machine being used. Feathers fly! C/U of a turkey having its feathers ripped off. Dissolve into a shot of the fully plucked carcass. "And some of the best boxers "train" here." M/S of woman packing birds into boxes.
