Summary
British Pathe synopsis: "Your sole is mine" might well be the joint theme song of the Fishmonger and the Shoe designer." C/U of three women putting on their stockings. They then put shoes on. Various shots of women on the catwalk modelling shoes - camera focuses on legs. "Nothing is beyond the pale of materials used for Eve’s footwear nowadays - snakeskin, calfskin, brocade, satin - anything "different" is eagerly stepped into." C/U of ankles and legs - shiny shoes and shiny stockings. C/U of three models’ legs. They point their feet out doing synchronised movements. They all move their feet together at the same time to display the shoes. High angle shot of the showroom. The women pose on the catwalk. Audience seems mostly men. M/S of group of models backstage. Camera pans. Low angle shot of women walking towards the camera. Shot of girls sitting in a row with their legs crossed jiggling their legs around! C/U of the legs, camera pans along as the legs twitch. "Meanwhile, Father has to depend on these..." C/U of man’s legs and feet - he wears clompy workman’s boots. The boots are displayed to the camera in a parody of the posing that has gone before.
