Summary
NoS Summary - Women pose in their Sunday best at the races in Berlin.
British Pathe synopsis: "In the warm days, the Belle from Berlin was just as fond of light and airy dress (or undress) as Miss Paris or London, but in the duller weather she takes to heavier attire - " M/S of smartly dressed women walking beside the horse track in Berlin. Most wear fur trimmed coats. High angle shot of lots of women, a couple step forward to pose for the camera. Three or four of them turn for the camera - they look like professional models. C/U of an older woman who wears a leopard skin coat with a dress trimmed with fur to match. Camera tilts down to show the skirt. "Smart furs and dainty hats crown Berlin’s lady-come-to-racing styles." More posing ensues including some C/Us of women wearing unusual hats. "Incidentally, this was the German St Leger, on the famous Grunewald track, but who cared about a race when the new winter modes were displayed - ?" High angle shot, camera follows the race.
