- NoS Summary - Children play and adults have a party in a canvas swimming pool.
British Pathe synopsis: "Here’s a new one - a swimming pool you can carry about with you!" L/S of a woman in a garden unrolling a piece of canvas. She spreads it out on the ground. "Just turn on the garden hose, while you take off your other hose - " Through stop frame photography the pool is filled up with water double quick time. The name of the product is printed on the side: "Sportapool". "- and here you are." High angle shot of lots of children having fun with the paddling pool. Various shots of the kids playing in and around the pool. "If you want something bigger in your garden - " A larger above ground pool is shown. A biplane pulls up alongside the garden. Girls jump out, rip off their flying gear and dive into the pool! High angle shot of other swimmers diving into the pool. A group of people sit in deck chairs and watch - very smartly dressed. C/U from low angle of woman diving into the pool and approaching the camera. Woman does somersaults. A woman dives into the pool then by a camera trick (film reversal) this is seen again backwards. She appears to emerge from the water and jump up onto the diving board again. - Keywords
