Summary
NoS synopsis: C/U of three girls in overalls holding small dogs in their arms. Camera pans to show other girls holding dogs. C/U of girl holding dog up to the camera. C/U of two girls, one holds a small dog making it clap its paws together as it sits on the back of a larger dog. The girl makes the Pekinese do a little dance. C/U of a group of a dozen girls holding dogs. M/S of the girls, they are sitting on some kind of cart, other girls push the cart away from the camera. M/S of two women in ordinary day wear (rather than overalls) walking towards a kennel maid. One of the women picks up the dog the kennel maid was walking. C/U of the woman holding the dog. "It is both an indoor and outdoor job - and a healthy and interesting one, too - " L/S of the girls walking their dogs towards a bench. They lift their dogs up onto the benches. M/S of the girls crowded around a table. One of the dogs stands on the table. A woman teaches the girl how to groom the dog. "In this business, there’s always a smile - pups (and their parents) are such cute customers..." C/U of the dog being groomed. M/S of the girls all brushing different dogs. Panning shot of the dogs being groomed. "Every phase of kennel work needs dealing with - plucking, grooming, feeding, exercising, etc." Panning shot of the girls hard at work. L/S of the girls walking towards kennels with bowls of food. M/S of girl stepping into the pens to put food down. "Altogether, it’s great to be a pup, down here - !" L/S of some of the girls walking their dogs whilst others watch.
