We then see three of the women directing fire hoses at a building. Various shots of the women using the hoses. We then see some "Chuting practice - " Interior of a building - woman pushes rolled up chute out of the window. Low angle of window from outside as the chute unrolls. Interior - a woman is helped out of the window and onto the chute. Camera follows the body as it moves down inside the chute. The woman is helped out at the bottom. A rope is thrown from the window. Another woman climbs out and slides down the rope. "And this needs a nervy jumper - " reads an intertitle before a high angle shot of a stretched out piece of canvas held by firewomen at the bottom of the building.
