Summary
NoS synopsis: "On the way to climb Snowdon, that mountainous trifle of nearly 4000 feet." L/S of a group of hikers on their way to climb Snowdon in Wales. They walk away from the camera - it seems to be all women. "The kind of break that’s welcome -" M/S of the women sitting under some trees having a lunch break - they smile and laugh. "After "eats" these athletic Y.W.C.A. ladies start in earnest on the climb." Low angle shot of their legs as they begin to walk up the mountain. They are not in any special walking gear, just skirts and sturdy shoes - not walking boots. Various shots of them climbing. "The mere man who took the film called on the mountain railway to help. (It’s only fair to him to mention the girls hadn’t a hundredweight of camera each to carry.)" Moving shot from the railway carriage. Views of the mountainside. "Well on the way - the highest society in Wales." M/S of the girls high up on the mountain - they have walking sticks. Various shots of them on their walk. Panning shot showing the mountain. Travelling shot from the train showing the walkers - they have a dog with them. The path becomes rather steep. "One of the rewards - the view from the top -" Camera pans and tilts to show the girls making their way up. Panning shot from the summit.
