Summary
NoS Summary - A cafe which has a table in a tree trunk - family having tea.
British Pathe synopsis: L/S of some trees precedes title. "You’ve heard of all sorts of trees, but we think a tea-tree is a new one. Here it is - at Cobham." L/S of a large building which has a board on the side advertising "Luncheons & Teas." In front of the building is a big tree which has a table inside the trunk. Closer view shows a couple and their baby sitting at the table which is in an enclosed area balanced on the trunk of the tree. A sign reads: "The Old Oak Tree Dining Rooms" C/U of the family sitting in the tree. M/S of woman coming out of the building and walking up some steps to serve the family with their tea. "Tea for two - and a few more here, in this quaint tea-tree!" Low angles of the tea table, as tea is poured from a pot. High angle shot of the tea table which shows part of the tree trunk and the family sitting around the table. Tea is handed out to members of the large family.
