Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Coronation of Ras Tafari. DESCRIPTION: EDITOR’S NOTE: Again British Movietonews triumphs in its policy of bold adventure. These sound pictures taken 5,200 miles away, are first screened on the same day as the appearance of the first newspaper photographs. The Movietone camera and the aeroplane have combined in the realisation of a revolutionary achievement. Sub 1. Ras Tafari greets the Duke of Gloucester at Addis Ababa Station. Sub 2. The Emperor unveils a monument to Menelik his predecessor. Sub 3. King of Kings, Lion of Judah is crowned. SHOTLIST: Sub 1. Train arriving at station.
