British Movietone Gazette

Dates: 1930 - 1935
History: British Movietone Gazette ran for six years, from 3 February 1930 to 18 July 1935. The Gazette was a shorter version of the British Movietone News newsreel, but occasionally carried different stories. It was designed as a cheaper alternative to the main newsreel, and came under the same editorial control as the British Movietone News. The two reels were run in tandem, using the same system as Pathe Gazette and Pathe Super Gazette.
