- Summary
- COI synopsis: Leeds is a city with a difference, a city that has decided to champion the pedestrian against the assaults of the motor car. Car parking is strictly limited. To woo the motorist on to the buses instead a radio controlled fleet of express buses speed commuters from the suburbs to the centre. The city centre itself is reserved for pedestrian and shoppers’ minibuses only, the whole of the actual area being monitored by TV cameras to prevent traffic chaos. Leeds is planning for tomorrow today.
