- Summary
- COI synopsis: Seaweed grows in abundance almost all over the world and has been looked upon as simply a weed, as the name implies. But scientists have extracted from it a chemical which has become an integral part of some 3000 different products which are now a part of our everyday lives - food, drink, textiles, chemicals, medicines, cosmetics and further afield. London Line goes to the west coast of Scotland to see this remarkable natural resource as it passes through all stages from reaping the crop to processing the end product ready for export all over the world.
