Career
Bob Phillips was an editor for London Line (1964-1978), a magazine programme produced by the Central Office of Information (COI) [qv] for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) [qv]. These programmes were shown primarily in Africa and the Caribbean. One of his earliest credits is for ‘Audio Visual - Aids To Farming’ London Line No.520, released in 1976. He also worked on a couple of other COI productions, Living Tomorrow (1969-1983), a science magazine series and This Week In Britain both produced for the FCO. One of his earliest credits for This Week In Britain is ‘DIAMONDS’, This Week In Britain No.972, released in 1977 and for Living Tomorrow, ‘SOURCE TO SEA: COMPUTER RAIN’ Living Tomorrow No. 301, released in 1982 or 1983.
