Summary
COI synopsis: There’s something captivating about getting two things for the price of one. It appeals to all of us. In science and technology too, minds are constantly stretched in the search for devices with more than one purpose. Car radio antennas - those flimsy metal poles stuck on the car bonnets are too easily broken, or they rust too quickly. But now, a British inventor has given the back window demister - that wire installed in glass - a dual function: demister and radio aerial. But to do it, he had to devise ingenious circuitry and a double-wound coil.
