Summary

COI synopsis: A concerted attack on wasted energy - in four very different fields... Casting metal has always been one of the basic techniques of industry. Yet every casting made wastes energy. Each one has excess metal attached to it which has to be cut off and remelted. An ingenious new method pours a whole string of moulds in one go, and cuts the excess metal from nearly half of the total to less than a fifth.
