- Summary
- COI synopsis: Two hundred years ago, Josiah Wedgwood founded a pottery in the English Midlands. From the very beginning, he insisted on the finest craftsmanship and today this tradition is still carried on. To achieve delicate and beautiful designs, skilled hands mould clay in a way which machines will never perfect. One man is employed just to smash pieces of china which have the slightest fault. In a test of strength specially arranged for ‘Carrousel Britanico’, a bus weighing more than 330 kilogrammes was lowered onto six of Wedgwood’s most delicate cups. They stood the test.
