- Summary
- COI synopsis: A film portrait of Fred Winter, one of the greatest steeplechase jockeys of all time. Son of a famous jockey, Fred started riding at the age of four; now in his thirties, his outstanding career, interrupted only by military service and two bad accidents, has seen him winner of the Grand National, twice winner in Britain of the Champion Hurdle, and four times Champion Jockey. Sequences show him in action during races, at home with his wife and children, in consultation with a trainer, and explaining how a rider can get the best out of his horse.
