MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Illuminated Carnival. DESCRIPTION: At Carnival time in Burnham-on-Sea the one thing you can’t buy is a light bulb, because over 2,500 of them adorn the floats in the Carnival Parade. This Carnival is unique to this part of the World and of its type in Europe. The themes of the floats are colourful and varied and the money raised goes to the local hospital building fund.
