- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mens Singles Final. DESCRIPTION: In this final it was a chance for Bjorn Borg to equal the record set by Fred Perry in the 1930’s, of winning three Wimbledons in a row. As last year his opponent was Jimmy Connors. The triumph was Borg’s winning straight sets 6-2, 6-2, 6-3, and receiving the Trophy from the Duke & Duchess of Kent. SHOTLIST: CU Mens Singles Trophy.
