MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ladies Singles Final. DESCRIPTION: This year’s final was between Chris Evert, the 1974 & 1976 Champion and Martina Navratilova, appearing in her first final. Miss Evert took the first set but the Czech girl fought back to take the next two & win 2-6, 6-4, 7-5. HRH the Duchess of Kent presented Martina Navratilova with the Ladies Trophy.
