MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Cup Final: Arsenal V Ipswich. DESCRIPTION: In the fiftieth Cup Final to be played at Wembley, Arsenal met Ipswich. For the Suffolk Club it was their first time in the Cup Final. Before the match Arsenal were considered the favourites, but once play got underway, Ipswich took command of the game. At half-time there was no score. After some near misses by Ipswich, the only goal of the match was scored by their No 7, Roger Osborne, late in the second half. Captain Mick Mills received the FA Cup from HRH Princess Alexandra. SHOTLIST: LS both teams onto pitch. BS ditto. GV Arsenal supporters cheering. MLS ditto. GV players onto pitch. MS crowd. Various of play and ball shot at goal but goes over. CU No 9 Malcolm MacDonald. CU Ipswich attack. Arsenal goal Pat Jennings misses shot that goes wide. MLS crowd. No 10 David Geddis brought down. No 11 Clive Woods with ball to No 7 Roger Osborne who passes to No 9 Paul Mariner whose shot hits goal bar. CU players walk away, MacDonald pan to No 5 Alan Hunter. No 11 Woods takes corner, MLS Jennings saves. CU Arsenal player. MLS Jennings kicks ball up field. CU Arsenal player up field. GV Arsenal player Alan Sunderland stumbles and shoots at goal but it goes wide. CU Arsenal supporters. MLS Arsenal with ball. GV Arsenal No 4 shoots high and wide. MLS Arsenal supporters. MS Ipswich Woods attacks and centred. GV Jennings runs for the ball tackled by Ipswich player and Jennings brings down corner flag. CU Ipswich goalie Paul Cooper. CU No 11 Alan Hudson. LS Arsenal shoot for goal but Cooper clears. CU Geddis brought down. LS substitutes and managers on bench. CU Mick Mills. LS Woods takes corner, Jennings tips a header from Kevin Beattie. GV crowd. LS players off pitch at half-time. CU scoreboard 0-0. CU Ipswich Brian Talbot kicks off 2nd half. Various of play. GV Ipswich John Wark shoots but rebounds and goes wide. CU Woods. GV Mariner shoots but misses. MS crowd reaction. Various Arsenal and Ipswich attack. GV crowd. Various of play inter-cut with crowd reaction. CU Duke of Kent. GV Arsenal No 7 Liam Brady goes off and sub Graham Rix comes on. Various of more play from both sides. GV Arsenal No 6 Willie Young turns a clearance into path of Ipswich No 7 Roger Osborne who scores goal. MS jubilant crowd. LS repeat action of goal. CU jubilant players, Osborne overcome and has to leave field. CU Ipswich sub Mick Lambert comes onto pitch, referee looks at his watch. GV Arsenal attack, Ipswich clear. Referee blows whistle for end of game. CU jubilant Mills jumps for joy. GV crowd. CU Mills receives cup from Princess Alexandra and kisses cup. LS cup held up to crowd. CU ditto. GV crowd. Various Ipswich team pose with cup. Ipswich wave to crowd.
